Mass Balance Fundamentals

New/Updated Course is Here!

Hi there guys!

I'm happy to announce that I'm launching a NEW & UPDATED Course!

Mass Balance Fundamentals: A Core Course for Chemical and Process Engineers

Since this is a Course Update, I'll be adding special offers (see below).

But for now, its really important for me that you understand WHY I decided to update, refresh and re-structure this course.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • If you've previously subsribed the "Mass Balance Course": You'll be enrolled into this course without any cost (automatically).
  • If you're enrolled in the "All Courses - One Subscription" plan, and your subscription is active, you can access this course at no extra cost.

Setting those 2 points clear, let's continue!!

You can watch the Course Trailer in the Course Website or here:

About this Course

In short, the course is all about:

  • Mass Balance Fundamentals for Students & Process Engineers.
  • It focuses in the Fundamentals, Theoretical Concepts, Practice Problems & Problem Solving

Specific Content (Course Structure)

  • Block 1 - Mass Balance Basics:
    • Basics of processes, industry, type of systems (open, closed, steady, unsteady).
    • An introduction of common Industry Diagrams are presented (Block Flow, Process Flow, and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams).
    • We continue with the Mass Balance Equation and its applications: Single vs. Multiple Units, Physical vs. Chemical Processes and Specific Case Studies such as Purge, Bypass and Recyle.
  • Section 2 - Single Phase Mass Balances
    • The importance of application of theory such as single phase: Phases, Equilibrium, Ideal vs. Real Gases and much more.
    • All this is applied to Industrial Mass Balances
  • Section 3 - Multiple Phase Mass Balances
    • Focuses in how different phases interact between each other (such as liquid-liquid, vapor-liquid and more).
    • Examples of Applications to the industry: Drying, Humidification, Distillation, Extraction, Lexiviation and more.
  • Section 4 - Transient (Unsteady) State Mass Balances:
    • A brief introduction to Transient State and how to setup problems.
    • Case Studies are worked thorugh & analysed.

Course Content - What's New?

  • New Platform: Easier to Learn, More Dynamic, Better Structured
  • Re-structure of Content: theory, exercises and practice problems.
  • 13h+ Video Lectures: Rich-in-content Lectures, ranging from 5-20 minute long. Video lectures enhances dynamic learning.
  • 4 Evaluations: Every section has evaluations so you can test your learning (see below)
  • Section Summary: Each section has a summary that wraps up all the content studied.
  • Downloadable Materials : Donwload the course slides, PDF, documents as well as summaries and many other content!
  • FREE E-Book: Methodology for Material Balances
  • BONUS Slides - General tips and comments on how to solve material balances
  • EXTRA Footage - Top Technical Questions; Common Q&A for Job Interviews, Academic Tests & more!
  • Instructor Support - Get help via e-mail or in-lecture comments
  • Certification of Completion - Get your diploma, enhance your resume!

Worked Exercises, explained step by step.

The Companion Course

Yes... as stated, we now separated the Theoretical Course vs. The Practice Problem Course. This is done mostly for:

  • The student that requires practice problems for academic purposes
  • Ensure that engineers focus their attention in the theory and practical part of Mass Balances.

The Companion Course is strongly dependant on the Fundamentals Course. It is strongly recommended to get it to ensure proper training. It contains:

  • More than 120+ Solved Step-by-Step Practice Problems
  • Topics studied:
    • Mass Balance Basics
    • Single and Multiple Phase Mass Balances
    • Continuous and Transient States
    • Single Unit Analysis as well as Multiple Units
    • Complex Processes such as: Purge, Bypass & Recycle
    • Study of Physical and Chemical Reaction Processes, such as Combustion, Polymmerization and more!

I'll be launching soon this Companion Course soon, so you'll have enough practice problems to work with!
